- The app divides into 2 levels: Beginner and Intermediate. In each level, it offers a lot of courses that contains a lot of topics to study with very good vocabulary resource. There are some subtopics from easy to difficult vocabulary that helps you study more effectively. Some sentences are useful but there are few grammatical problems. Especially, it’s quite good to practice listening as the words/phrases are repeated over and over again. There is a learned vocabulary list after every class that is easy to review. In general, Drops is well-structured courses.

- The app is appropriate for under 10 year old kids so it’s not so practical if you are an adult. You can download the materials to study offline. After studying a word, you will be listened to a sentence including that word with lively images and gifs. It is good to practice listening.

- There are various topics which contain a lot of beginner words and phrases. You can play the sentence over and over again. Also, you can make the sentences be read slower with a small button in each and star your favorites. Plus, the tones are made quite clearly. However, the premium is about $10 and a lot of the things unlock are just one word vocabulary.

- The premium is about $10 per month. Free lessons is about 45 minutes of content.

- The app gives complete Vietnamese immersion. There's no English in the lessons, only Vietnamese and pictures so this app makes you discover the rules for yourself. This its quite hard in the beginning because it immediately gives sentences without translation. The learners have to work out for themselves which can be frustrating

The listening is good, a lot of practice and the sentences are useful for everyday communication .

This app tries to get you talking into the microphone to copy sentences. Its a nice idea but it will give correct tick still even if the tones are pronounced in a wrong way.

In general, these apps are good to studying at the beginning. However, one thing you can consider when studying with any apps is that you’re just able to speak by learning by heard the given sentences. That is for beginner level.

If you want to speak Vietnamese naturally and practically, you should study with a teacher for a while to build a strong foundation then you’ll have conversation without depending on the apps.
